Country-rockers the Jayhawks are reuniting for a July 10 show headlining the Basilica Block Party in Minneapolis. The band did play in Spain last August but the Minneapolis date will be the first American show to feature singer-songwriter Mark Olson since he departed the outfit back in 1995. According to there are also plans for the Jayhawks to play more shows next year.

To which the Music Mix says, “Hoorah!” The melancholically-inclined ‘hawks were never really what we critic-types like to describe as “big.” However, they were responsible for some terrific tunes such as “Waiting for the Sun” and “Blue.” Both are included below for your bitter-sweet listening pleasure.
