I’m not one to embrace a hangover, but I’m starting to think maybe I should. The Todd Phillips (Old School) directed buddy comedy The Hangover (releases June 5) has apparently been testing very well with audiences and getting many laughs from Hollywood insiders during a sneak peek that was shown at last week’s ShoWest. Now, a second Hangover has been greenlit before the first one has even had a chance to perform at the box office, so I’m starting to wonder: What exactly is in this cocktail and where can I get one?

In the Las Vegas-set flick, Comedy Central regular Zach Galifianakis stars with Ed Helms and Bradley Cooper as three friends friends who wake up the morning after a bachelor party blowout and realize they’ve lost the groom. Naturally, they must retrace their steps to uncover what exactly went down the night before and where in the world the husband-to-be could be hiding. It all sounds a bit formulaic, but after taking a look at the trailer (press play below), I couldn’t help but LOL at the site of Galifianakis with a baby and Mike Tyson randomly appearing.

What about you, Pop Watchers? Can’t wait to nurse a Hangover or planning on avoiding one? And is the early green light for a sequel a smart way to build hype, or a foolish gamble that can come back to haunt?
