Madonna’s attempt to adopt three-year-old Malawian girl Chifundo “Mercy” James just hit another road block. ABC News is reporting that the Malawi Supreme Court, scheduled to hear the pop star’s appeal today of a lower court’s ruling denying the adoption, has postponed the case indefinitely. At issue is the Malawian law requiring an adoptive parent to reside in the country for 18t o 24 months with the child before the adoption can be granted.
