Cher to star opposite Christina Aguilera in 'Burlesque'

In what could be a brilliant casting move, sources tell EW.com that Cher is in talks to star alongside Christina Aguilera in the Screen Gems’ musical Burlesque. The veteran singer/actress (remember she did win an Oscar for Moonstruck) would play the owner of the burlesque club where Christina works. The film, to be directed by Steve Antin – the brother of Pussycat Dolls founder Robin Antin – centers on a small-town girl who discovers her dreams at a Cabaret-like venue. Cher’s character, sources say, will serve as Aguilera’s mentor. Do you think she’ll be giving out fashion tips?
