Free Press, an imprint of Simon & Schuster, announced that it will publish Last Words, the memoir of late comedian George Carlin. The stand-up provocateur behind such groundbreaking routines as “Seven Words You Can Never Use on Television” had been working on the book with former National Lampoon wit and bestselling author Tony Hendra for the last decade of his life before passing away on June 22, 2008, from heart failure. Last Words will look back on Carlin’s 50-year career and his personal life story.
