Bryan Singer is in talks to come aboard Excalibur, a remake of the 1981 John Boorman movie about King Arthur and the Knights of the Roundtable that is currently in the works at Warner Bros., according to the Hollywood Reporter. As of right now, Warner has just tied up remake rights, which it will share with Boorman. If Singer does come aboard, he would produce with Julie Yorn and Polly Johnsen. Supposedly, Singer’s version of Excalibur would be more epic- and fantasy-based than previous takes on the King Arthur tale.
