My Emmy spies are telling me that host-producer-nominee Neil Patrick Harris has tapped John ‘I’m a PC’ Hodgman to serve as the announcer at Sunday’s ceremony. (The guy that says, “This is Tony Shaloub’s 74th nomination and 64th win.”) According to the insider, the plan is to have him not be entirely credible facts-wise — a la Hodgman’s Daily Show “expert.”

Between this and the Dr. Horrible skit, I’d say this year’s Emmys are going to be… I know I promised never to go there again but I just can’t resist…  this year’s Emmys are going to be… one last time and then that’s it… this year’s Emmys are going to be… legen — wait for it — dary!
