Two independent record companies are suing Guns N’ Roses for $1 million, accusing the rockers of using parts of two songs by German electronic musician Ulrich Schnauss on their album Chinese Democracy, Reuters reports. British label Independiente and the U.S. arm of Domino Recording Company filed the suit Friday against the group and its label, Universal Music Group’s Interscope-Geffen A&M, saying portions of the song “Riad N’ the Bedouins” were copied from Schnauss’ “Wherever You Are” and “A Strangely isolated place.
