Which behind-the-scenes entertainers do you follow on Twitter?

modern-family-tweet_l

modern-family-tweet_lYesterday’s feature from The Wrap, highlighting the 50 TV insiders you should be following on Twitter, provided some interesting food for thought. And while I can’t say that their list had a lot of overlap with my own personal “following” list, it did inspire me to sign up for feeds from several writer-producers including Cougar Town’s Kevin Biegel (@kbiegel), The Vampire Diaries’ Kevin Williamson (@KevWilliamson) and Julie Plec (@julieplec), and The Office’s Mindy Kaling (@mindykaling). Naturally, I already follow my colleague Michael Ausiello (@EWAusielloFiles), another member of The Wrap’s exclusive list, as well as several other behind-the-scenes folks they didn’t mention: Modern Family’s Steven Levitan (@SteveLevitan), BSG/Caprica’s Jane Espenson (@CapricaSeven), and the all-powerful @MarthaStewart, not to mention all my favorite former Idol contestants. And then I got curious about who my colleagues follow: My office next-door-neighbor Mike Bruno started keeping tabs on Jon Favreau (@Jon_Favreau) because of his excellent Tweets while filming Iron Man, while movie-loving Adam B. Vary tells me he follows “John August (@JohnAugust), who’s always sharp about the business of screenwriting; Elizabeth Banks (@ElizabethBanks), who’s just damn funny; and Ben Stiller (@RedHourBen) who only benefits from the Twitter format.” And because she revealed the TV show I watch when I’m tipseh, I am pleased to offer this exclusive scoop about Mandi Bierly’s “following” list (@EWMandiBierly), which includes J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling), Miranda Lambert (@Miranda_Lambert), Lie to Me/The Shield’s Shawn Ryan (@ShawnRyanTV), Law & Order: SVU showrunner Neal Baer (@NealBaer), and Bones’ head honcho Hart Hanson (@HartHanson), among others.

That’s a little sampling of the writers, producers, directors, and authors EW staffers keep up with on Twitter, and now it’s your turn.
