Roman Polanski has lost his appeal to be released from jail in Switzerland, the Associated Press reports. The Swiss Criminal Court said the director, who is currently being held pending possible extradition to the U.S., is a flight risk. Polanski was convicted in 1977 of a sex crime involving a 13-year-old before fleeing the U.S. and living as a fugitive for 32 years.
