Maryland judge rules in favor of TLC's breach-of-contract dispute against Jon Gosselin

A Maryland judge today ruled that TLC’s breach of contract case against Jon Gosselin was strong enough to put a preliminary injunction in place against the reality show star, according to published reports. The cable network sued the co-star of Jon and Kate Plus 8 for doing interviews and making public appearances - like taking his girlfriend to France - without its permission. Gosselin remains under contract with the network. TLC released this statement to EW: “We are pleased with the Court’s ruling today. The Court has validated our view that Mr. Gosselin has a valid, binding contract and that he has breached it repeatedly.  Step one – getting the court to order Mr. Gosselin to comply with his contractual obligations – has been accomplished. Any further breaches going forward will be violations of a court order. We look forward to the next phase of the litigation, which is to pursue our claim for damages resulting from Mr. Gosselin’s numerous breaches.”

Gosselin has countersued the network by claiming it violated Pennsylvania’s child labor laws in filming Jon & Kate Plus 8.
