Ratings: 'Sing-Off' does not hit a high note

NBC’s new singing competition The Sing-Off premiered last night but did not get a standing ovation in terms of viewership, according to preliminary overnight ratings. The Nick Lachey-hosted series only managed a lukewarm 6.9 million viewers. Elsewhere, ABC’s Jennifer Hudson holiday special also underperformed with a not-very-jolly 5.6 million viewers.
