Waiting for Superman, a documentary about America’s public education system, was the first film acquired at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Paramount Vantage bought the worldwide rights to the movie, which was directed by Oscar-winner Davis Guggenheim (An Inconvenient Truth). The studio plans to release the doc in the fall.
