When she’s not busy judging American Idol, Kara DioGuardi is also a top A&R exec at Warner Bros. Records. She’s just used the latter capacity to sign British singer Neon Hitch to the label, according to a press release. So who’s Neon Hitch?
If you’ve turned on a pop radio station recently, you’re probably familiar with her work: Neon Hitch co-wrote Ke$ha’s current hit “Blah Blah Blah.” She’s also featured as a singer on “Follow Me,” 3OH!3’s contribution to Alice in Wonderland tie-in album Almost Alice.
Also: According to that same press release, Neon Hitch comes from a circus family, and has trained as a “trapeze artist, fire swinger, and stilt walker.” So at least she has some backup options in case her forthcoming debut album, Beg, Borrow, and Steal, flops.
Give “Follow Me” a listen below and weigh in: What do you think of Kara DioGuardi’s new signee? Will you check out her album?
