Rapper vs. Mitt Romney! LMFAO member Sky Blu says he was the person involved in plane altercation with presidential candididate

Sky Blu, one half of the electro-rap duo LMFAO, has posted a video message on the band’s website claiming to be the person who was removed from a plane at Vancouver airport last Monday following an altercation with Republican politician Mitt Romney.

It was widely reported that Romney had gotten into an argument with a man who was sitting in front of the politician’s wife after the ex-presidential candidate asked him to put his seat in the upright position prior to take-off. An aide for Romney was quoted as saying the man became “physically violent.”

Blu appears to confirm in the video that he did take matters into his own hands, although he also claims the incident was not all his fault. The video concludes with Blu saying that he has no hard feelings toward Romney, but that he won’t be voting for him “because I’m a Democrat.”

A spokesman for Air Canada declined today to confirm the identity of the man removed from the plane, saying it was a “police matter.” A spokesman for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police told EW that because the man was not criminally charged his name could not legally be released to the press.
