After success with providing the main voice in 2008’s Beverly Hills, Chihuahua, George Lopez is getting back into the voice acting game through a big-screen tale about the classic animation character Speedy Gonzalez, who is headed to the big screen, according to the Hollywood Reporter. New Line is working on the effort, with Garfield writers Alec Sokolow and Joel Cohen adapting the Looney Tunes character into a live-action/CG hybrid feature. Speedy first appeared in the 1950s as a regular nemesis to Sylvester the Cat and has since appeared in several feature films including Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Space Jam, and Looney Tunes: Back in Action.
