'Glee' and 'Mad Men' win costume-design awards: Amen

On the film side, The Young Victoria won for best period costumes, Crazy Heart won for best contemporary costumes, and The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus won for best fantasy. On the TV front, Janie Bryant won Mad Men and Lou Eyrich won for Glee. Hell yes.

That Mad Men is stylish practically goes without saying; Glee is in a slightly different boat, and not just because so many of its characters wear uniforms. Sue’s iconic track suits; Rachel’s prim school-girl outfits; Mr. Schue’s blandsville, Ohio duds – all great. But it’s Jayma Mays’s Emma Pillsbury whose ensembles absolutely kill me with their perfection. The cardigans alone make me weak in the knees, plus the slightly quirky matchiness of everything and the immaculate accessorizing? Be still my heart.

TV-wise, the only show I can think of that can compete with these two is Ugly Betty, but I’d still give Glee the slight edge there. What do you think, PopWatchers?
