Kimberly Wyatt and Ashley Roberts have bid farewell to the Pussycat Dolls, the BBC reports.  Roberts reportedly released a statement saying that she has “gotten the acting bug and am falling in love with it. I have a few projects in the works and when ready I will announce more details to all of you.” She also said she’s “in the studio recording some of my own music.” Wyatt reportedly said to UK magazine Loaded, “Money and fame can’t buy happiness.”

The departures follow reports of a rift in the band caused by the rising star of lead singer Nicole Scherzinger, who has just been announced as a contestant on the upcoming cycle of Dancing With the Stars. Last year, Pussycat Dolls singles were being marketed as “The Pussycat Dolls featuring Nicole Scherzinger,” rather than just “the Pussycat Dolls,” as in the past. Group member Jessica Sutta, who left the group in January, told MTV at the time that she felt she “was always in the shadows of Nicole.”
