'Glee' rules in young demographics

Last night’s special Madonna-themed episode of Glee didn’t beat last week’s stellar opening but the dramedy continues to post impressive gains in the younger demographics. The hour that featured a bevy of tunes from Madge’s playbook helped to earn the show’s highest rating ever in teens and in women 18-49. The show, which also earned its second highest ratings ever last night among adults 18-49 (5.3 rating/14 share), has outperformed its previous season averages by 67 percent in the 18-49 demographic and by 71 percent in teens.

Glee is tied with ABC’s Modern Family as the highest-rated new scripted series of the season among adults 18-49. Fox will repeat “The Power of Madonna” episode this Friday at 9.
