Poison frontman Bret Michaels’s condition may have stabilized following a brain hemorrhage, according to TMZ.com. The website reportedly spoke with Ambre Lake, the Season 2 winner of Michaels’s reality series, Rock of Love, who says she has spoken with people who are close to Michaels who told her the singer is awake and in good spirits.

People reported earlier today that Michaels had suffered a massive subarachnoid hemorrhage. The singer was suffering from a headache Thursday night when he was rushed to the hospital. Michaels is currently in critical condition. A source told People, “After several CAT scans, MRIs, and an angiogram, [doctors] decided to keep Michaels in the ICU and are running several tests to determine the cause. [It] will be touch and go for the next few days while he is under intense observation.”

This most recent hospital stay comes only 11 days after Michaels underwent an emergency appendectomy in San Antonio, Texas. Whether his hemorrhage is related to the appendectomy or his diabetes remains to be seen.
