Iowa-born Pierre Bernard was the man who tasked himself with that mission — and for his troubles, he was labeled the Great Oom by scandal-hungry newspapers determined to paint him as a sex-crazed cult leader. Ex?Rolling Stone editor Robert Love reveals there was at least some fire beneath that smoke in this biography, The Great Oom. Certainly Bernard seems to have had an eye for the ladies. Maybe it was his third one. B
