Image Credit: Barry King/FilmMagic.comGregg Allman recently underwent a successful liver transplant operation at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Fla, a spokesman for the singer announced today. The Allman Brothers Band member has struggled with drug problems and recently battled the liver disease Hepatitis C. “I changed my ways years ago,” Allman was quoted as saying in a statement. “But we can’t turn back time. Every day is a gift, and I can’t wait to get back on the road making music with my friends.”

Obviously, we at the Music Mix wish him a speedy recovery, and you can check out some classic Gregg Allman footage after the jump.
