A spokeswoman for Jennifer Capriati confirms to the AP that the former top-ranked tennis player was rushed to the hospital on Sunday after an “accidental overdose” of prescription drugs (the news was first reported by TMZ). The spokeswoman says the 34-year-old is stable and a full recovery is expected. The type of medication was not revealed.  Capriati’s tennis career, which includes three Grand Slam singles titles in 2001-02 and a Gold Medal in the 1992 Olympics, has been hampered by personal issues. She was arrested in 1993 for shoplifting and again in 1994 for misdemeanor possession of marijuana.
