Trailer for Zach Galfianakis' 'It's Kind of a Funny Story': Wait, what exactly is funny?

The trailer for Zach Galifianakis’ new movie, It’s Kind of a Funny Story, hit Yahoo! today, and it left me wondering: Is there anything funny about this story…this movie…this trailer? Basically, the film is about a clinically depressed teen (played by United States of Tara’s Keir Gilchrist) who is committed to the adult psych ward alongside Galifianakis’ character. Emma Roberts, Lauren Graham, and Viola Davis also star. A while back, a producer on the film told us here at EW that the film is like “a teen version of One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest.” Which again, isn’t screaming funny. The producer added that it’s got the tone of The Breakfast Club, which, I suppose I can sort of see from the trailer. But this short clip still has me thinking there’s a bit less comedy involved than the title might suggest.
