Sean Penn and Naomi Watts in 'Fair Game' trailer (100 percent Cindy Crawford free!)

As far as we can tell, there are precisely zero supermodels in Sean Penn and Naomi Watts’ new spy thriller (out Nov. 5) – which, depending on your personal taste, makes it more or less appealing than the 1995 movie of the same name (which starred Cindy Crawford’s mole as the mole of a super hot lawyer on the run from the KGB). Instead, this one is based on the tell-all memoir of ex-CIA operative Valerie Plame, (played by Naomi Watts) who was publicly exposed after her husband (Sean Penn) ruffled feathers in Washington by accusing the Bush administration of bending the truth regarding weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. Check out the trailer below.

If you’re like me, the movie’s domestic-spy-thriller feel reminded you a bit of a straight-faced version of Mr. and Mrs. Smith. And if you’re really like me, you got a momentary kick from realizing that Fair Game and Mr. and Mrs. Smith were both directed by Doug Liman – but then you got a little less excited when you realized that there actually isn’t any interesting conclusion to be drawn from that. (Bonus points if you also subsequently ate a yogurt to console yourself.)

So what’s the verdict? Will you buy a ticket to Fair Game this November? Or will you stage a silent pro-Cindy protest by doing a mini House of Style marathon on YouTube?
