Chelsea Handler to unite Kanye West and Taylor Swift at VMAs?

Since Kanye interrupted Taylor’s acceptance speech last year, the two haven’t been around each other–mostly because West went on hiatus, opting not to attend illustrious events like the Grammys. But now that he’s back and a performer at the forthcoming awards, Handler wants to change that.

In an interview with Ryan Seacrest on his On-Air radio show yesterday to promote the event, Handler said, “I’d like to get them [Swift and West] together. Because you’ve never really seen them together since then. They were supposed to be on SNL, but then that didn’t end up happening. I don’t know. We’ll try and think of something clever to do with them, because that would be really fun. Everyone loves Taylor Swift, and Kanye’s Kanye.”

(Swift’s publicist declined to comment on the potential VMAs team-up, and West’s rep could not be reached immediately.)

Both artists have addressed last year’s incident in interviews and seemingly have moved on since. It may be a good idea for them to come together and laugh about it all. But I doubt they will. Kanye has much more to gain in the court of public opinion than Taylor does. Even though she’d come off pretty cool if she did.

What you think? Should Taylor hook up with Kanye for a funny skit or something of the sort? Let us know.
