Mel Gibson domestic violence case goes to prosecutors

Los Angeles police have finished their investigation into domestic violence allegations against Mel Gibson, and have handed over the case to the L.A. district attorney’s office for review, People is reporting. The case became a sensation after purported recordings of Gibson’s profanity-laced rants on the phone with ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva leaked on the web in July. Grigorieva is also the mother of Gibson’s 10-month-old daughter Lucia. The D.A.’s office could possibly take months to decide what to do with the case.
