'Real Housewives': Teresa hosting Delaware table-flipping contest

File this under Horrifying But Hypnotic (and Things That Are Classy): The cash-strapped Teresa Giudice of The Real Housewives of New Jersey is hosting a party at the Funkey Monkey – the self-proclaimed “hottest night club to hit Wilmington!” – on Saturday, Sept. 25. According to the club’s web site, she’ll be taking photographs and signing copies of her book, Skinny Italian. There will also be a table-flipping contest “for all the ladies!” with great prizes and giveaways. How does one win a table-flipping contest? Is it by the amount of destruction one does, like how many table settings you send crashing to the floor? Or is it all style points? In which case, we’d prepare to recreate the bleep-filled, Danielle-focused tirade that accompanied Teresa’s memorable table flip on the show. I want to say “good for her” for having a sense of humor, but even though that sort of behavior makes great TV, I don’t know that I’d want to celebrate it in real life… Which is why if I lived in Wilmington, I would just watch the contest and not enter.

UPDATE: Funkey Monkey owner Bill Stradley tells EW he has not decided on the criteria for the table-flipping contest, which is simply part of his “theme night,” but says he’ll have Giudice judge it. “It’s harmless,” Stradley stresses, noting that he was just having this conversation with Bravo. “She personally is not gonna flip a table. It’s not in any way demeaning or degrading.”
