Alamo Drafthouse, a burgeoning cinema company that has expanded out of a much-loved movie theater in Austin, Texas, announced it is expanding its brand by launching a film distribution arm, Drafthouse Films. The company’s first film will be Four Lions, a satirical black comedy about a group of bumbling would-be Islamic terrorists that premiered at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year. Drafthouse Films plans to release Four Lions this fall in New York, Los Angeles, and Austin and expand wider in the following weeks.
