'Survivor: Nicaragua': And the first person voted out is...

Another season of Survivor is underway, and if the move back to Wednesday nights didn’t shake things up enough, we also got our initial look at the show’s first true celebrity contestant, one badass looking immunity idol, and one embarrassingly titled Medallion of…seriously, I can’t even say it without feeling ridiculous. If you’ve already watched tonight’s season premiere, read on after the jump to sound off about what happened and who was kicked off.

[SPOILER ALERT: Read on only if you’ve already watched Wednesday’s episode of Survivor: Nicaragua.] Jeff Probst welcomed 20 new suckers…I mean, castaways to 39 days of ridicule and torture…er, the adventure of a lifetime! And what did we learn from the premiere episode? We learned that the young La Flor tribe has a ways to go on their group choreography routines, at least judging by their opening dance number at the immunity challenge. We learned that no one wants any part of that silly Medallion of Power, with the young tribe giving it away to the older Espada one and then Espada refusing to use it in the first challenge, even though it would have given them a 20% head start. And we learned that Jimmy Johnson may be tough out on the football field, but he is in for a whole different ballgame out here. (Cue the vomit shot!)

When all was said and done, wacky goat rancher Wendy of the older tribe was unanimously voted out…even though she didn’t have any blisters on her feet! How could you think of voting off someone with no blisters! That’s tribal suicide! The woman was in peak physical condition! Again, NO BLISTERS!

Oh well, my full recap (complete with lots of on-location intel on stuff you did not see in the episode) will be up at midnight, along with an exclusive deleted scene and Jeff Probst’s post-Tribal Council wrap-up. But until then, hit the message boards and let us know what you thought of the episode. Which contestants are you loving and loathing? Are you rooting for the young tribe or the old one? And could the Medallion of Power sound or look any cheesier?
