With his spiteful old-school cut “F**k You” climbing the Billboard Hot 100 chart, Cee Lo Green has chosen to strike while the iron is hot. Instead of the December release Elektra had originally planned for his new Lady Killer, the album has been bumped up a month to November 9. At a time when labels are more likely to push back album releases or shelve them altogether, this is refreshing news. “F— You” is an internet sensation and a wonderful song, but it’s currently No. 36 on the Hot 100. As good as that may be, it’s no “Crazy.” At least not yet. Elektra pushing up Lady Killer‘s release shows that they honestly believe in the project–even without super obvious statistics to stand on.

What do you think of Cee Lo and Elektra’s November 9 decision? Will you buy his album? Let us know.
