Kid Cudi and Christopher Mintz-Plasse of Superbad fame pose as ’70s British rockers in the moon man’s “Erase Me” video. It’s the lead single from his forthcoming Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager. The clip, directed by Jason Goldwatch, isn’t very cohesive. It starts off with Cudi and Mintz-Plasse knocking back glasses of whiskey while giving an attractive Rolling Stone reporter a hard time.

But after a few shots of them hitting the stage to perform, it switches to their modern-day counterparts hanging with some hotties on a tour bus. Then, just when you think the video’s going to stay in 2010, we go back to the ’70s for Kanye West‘s guest appearance. And instead of donning the retro threads and a wig like Cudi, West enters in his contemporary cool black blazer, slacks, and gold chains.

Check it out after the jump. The visual is fun; I just wish it made a little more sense.

What did you think of the video? Let us know.
