Image Credit: Tom Grill/CorbisIf this weekend’s #moviesinmypants isn’t Twitter trending at its best, I don’t know what is.

Joining the fun was simple. All you had to do was think of a movie title that would sound better with “in my pants” attached to the end. Among the best contributions clogging my feed? Eliza Dushku’s Shall We Dance in My Pants, Wil Wheaton’s Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead in My Pants, and a submission from Modern Family‘s co-executive producer Danny Zuker, The Wiz In My Pants.

This simple amusement went on for the better part of the weekend, with a few less-amazing copycats popping up, like #TVShowsinmypants. I only saw one noteworthy tweet come through using this tag, Diff’rent Strokes In My Pants — but even that was a bit obvious.

If you liked this trend, my recommendation is to try a game I created with friends last year, Apples-to-Apples in Bed. (Simply add “in Bed” to every adjective). It’s not a seamless as #moviesinmypants, but like most things, the game is better if you’re drunk.

What about you, PopWatchers? Did you join the fun this weekend? What were some of the best #moviesinmypants? And do you think we have Craig Ferguson to thank for this trend?

For fun, here are this weekend’s top 10 movies…#inmypants
