Susan Boyle pushes Taylor Swift to No. 2 on Billboard 200 chart, 'The Gift' reigns supreme

Almost a year after releasing her debut album, I Dreamed a Dream, Susan Boyle is back atop the Billboard 200 albums chart. Her holiday album, The Gift, sold 318,000 albums in its opening week. It’s an amazing feat considering this is just a holiday offering, but still her numbers are dwarfed by the 701,000 records Dreamed sold in its first week.

Last week’s No. 1, Taylor Swift’s Speak Now, drops to No. 2 with 212,000 copies sold. Kid Cudi’s Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager opens at No. 3, selling 169,000 copies. That’s 65,000 more copies than his debut album Man on the Moon: The End of Day sold last year with its No. 4 charting. Check out the rest of the top 10 below.
