Harry Shum Jr. bumped up to regular on 'Glee'

glee-duetsImage Credit: FoxLooks like we’ll be seeing a lot more of Mike “Other Asian” Chang on Glee: Harry Shum Jr. has been promoted to a series regular. Now maybe he can have some more lines! Or maybe a Mike Chang-focused episode? If Glee can give Terri as much screen time as it did this week, it can give the mysterious Mike Chang some more robust storylines. We can’t be too far from a Mike/Tina-centric installment, can we?

Shum has definitely had a bigger role this season, from his “Sing” duet with Tina to his “Make ‘Em Laugh” number with Matthew Morrison a few days ago. But I can’t be alone in wanting more Mike Chang. I mean, look at the guy dance:

Ugh, I love him. Given how bendy and emotive he is as a dancer (see above), he’d crush “If I Only Had a Brain” from The Wizard of Oz. (Now that I think of it, why hasn’t there been a Wizard of Oz ep of Glee? Hmm….) I also feel like “Mr. Cellophane” would be a perfect anthem for the once-invisible Mr. Chang, but Kurt sang it in the pilot.

Okay, PopWatchers, what number do you want to see Harry Shum Jr. perform? What should his break-out song be?
