Katie Couric may guest star on 'Glee'

katie-couricImage Credit: Stephen Lovekin/Getty ImagesKatie Couric is in talks for a guest spot on Glee, sources say, but it’s not quite a done deal yet. The news anchor, who recently criticized Lea Michele, Dianna Agron, and Cory Monteith’s racy photoshoot, may appear in the post-Super Bowl episode. Your move, Diane Sawyer!

Of all the shows that pull stunt-casting cameos, Glee’s somehow work really well – maybe because the show itself is so pop-saturated, or maybe because the rules of the show’s universe are incredibly flexible. High-profile cameos on Glee do not bug me at all. But I feel like we need a rule, and that rule is this: If you want to guest star on Glee, you have to sing and dance. Musical numbers are not a spectator sport.

What do you think, PopWatchers? Will Katie Couric fit in at McKinley?
