Disney's Muppet movie gets a new release date

Muppet fans, your wait for the highly anticipated new movie featuring Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, and rest of the gang just got a little shorter. Disney has announced that its upcoming Muppet movie will be released next Thanksgiving weekend, not on Christmas as originally planned. The film – originally titled The Greatest Muppet Movie Ever Made and now tentatively called simply The Muppets – will hit theaters on Nov. 23, 2011. The Muppets, which stars Jason Segel (who also co-wrote the script), Amy Adams, Chris Cooper, and Rashida Jones alongside the classic lineup of Muppet characters, is currently shooting in Los Angeles.
