“I keep reading that Charlie Sheen did not show up for work today,” says spokesman Stan Rosenfield. “I read those remarks two hours before his scheduled time of arrival. Charlie Sheen arrived at work today and is there as I send this. Memo to Chicken Little: The sky remains in place.”

The statement’s pretty funny, but apparently the situation is anything but for Sheen - at least according to one report that alleges how the network and Warner Bros. TV, which produces the top-rated comedy for CBS, are concerned about whether his off-camera behavior may affect production. Apparently, says Deadline, his extreme weight loss over the holiday hiatus was a big cause of concern. Stay tuned.

In May, Sheen announced via his publicist that he will be back on the network’s hit comedy Two and a Half Men this season. Terms of Sheen’s new pact were not revealed, though Warner Bros. TV already has a deal in place to produce two more seasons of Men for CBS. Sheen had kicked off a whirlwind of speculation after reportedly telling friends that he hoped last season would be his last. His contract that paid him roughly $800,000 per episode expired on April 9, the day Men shot its 2009-10 season ender.

He now earns north of $1 million.
