Cake's sweet new album is No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart

In an extremely slow week for album releases, Cake’s Showroom of Compassion lands atop the Billboard 200 albums chart, selling just 44,000 copies in its first week. It’s the lowest selling No. 1 album in SoundScan’s 20-year tracking history. Cage the Elephant’s Thank You Happy Birthday comes in second with 39,000 copies sold, while Taylor Swift lands in the third spot selling another 35,000 copies of Speak Now.
