Motley Crue singer Vince Neil prepping for brief jail stay

Motley Crue singer Vince Neil will serve two weeks in jail starting Feb. 15 for driving drunk in his Lamborghini last summer in Las Vegas, reports Yahoo. He had potentially faced a six-month stay. Under the guidelines of the misdemeanor driving plea deal he’s set to agree to, he’ll also be under house-arrest for two weeks. Neil, 49, will reportedly finalize his agreement when he attends his Jan. 26 court hearing in Las Vegas. “I have recognized that you can’t drink and drive at all,” Neil said in a statement.

In 1984, Neil also pleaded guilty to manslaughter and drunken driving after an accident in California that killed his passenger, 24-year-old Hanoi Rocks drummer Nicholas Dingley. An uninjured Neil served 20 days in jail and paid $2.5 million in restitution to the victims who survived.
