Next Monday, Feb. 7, will mark the first time NBC’s Harry’s Law will go head-to-head with both a new episode of CBS’ Hawaii Five-0 and a new episode of ABC’s Castle. NBC has an interesting/confusing plan of attack – the “Wave” promo embedded below for Harry’s Law that made me think Hawaii Five-0 was its lead-in until I remembered they’re on different networks in the same 10 p.m. time slot. So what is NBC trying to do here? Say if you like that other show you’ve been watching on that other network, you’ll love this new show on this one? Make us think that we should watch Hawaii Five-0 and DVR Harry’s Law to play right after it? Or simply remind us that Hawaii Five-O is also on?

What I particularly love is that the episode of Hawaii Five-0 airing Feb. 7 could not look or sound less sunny. Per the logline, “When the sole witness in a high-profile murder case disappears, Five-0 must head into the jungle to locate and protect her from assassins who are closing in fast.” Check out the photos of Alex O’Loughlin’s Steve McGarrett below. The man is ready for battle. Maybe Harry should focus her attention on Richard Castle, who’s usually only armed with his charm. (Then again, that’s a powerful weapon when wielded by Nathan Fillion.)
What’s your plan for Monday at 10 p.m.?
