Emmy-winning comedienne Kathy Griffin is taking her stand-up comedy show, Kathy Griffin Wants a Tony, to Broadway in March. The reality-TV star will perform at the Belasco Theatre for eight performances only beginning March 11. “While I have been asked to understudy for Spider-Man and take over for Al when he has finished his run in The Merchant of Venice, instead I have decided to take my very own show to Broadway,” Griffin said, in an announcement. “Just me and the microphone. Every night will be fresh material due to the revolving door of pop culture, political and celebrity missteps. I won’t be able to hold back.”
