The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation handed out honors to Kristin Chenoweth (Vanguard Award), NBC Entertainment Chariman Robert Greenblatt (Stephen F. Kolzak Award), Glee and Modern Family (tie for Outstanding Comedy Series, pictured here), Project Runway (Outstanding Reality Program), and I Love You Phillip Morris (Outstanding Film – Limited Release) at its 22nd Annual Media Awards ceremony in Los Angeles on Sunday evening. Additional awards went to The Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell (Outstanding TV Journalism Segment) and Bianca “Nikki” Peet, a 17-year-old student from Corpus Christi, Texas, for her efforts to organize a Gay Straight Alliance at her high school after her principal originally prohibited the group.

Several GLAAD Media Awards have already been presented: True Blood, 30 Rock, Ricky Martin, and others were honored in New York City last month. The final awards for 2011 will be awarded May 14 at a ceremony in San Francisco. See the full list of honorees at the GLAAD website.
