“He’s either a genius or a moron and I can’t figure it out,” said Donald Trump about Gary Busey at the top of tonight’s Celebrity Apprentice, making him the last person on earth to figure it out. But would he figure it out before tonight’s Boardroom and would it cost Busey his Celebrity Apprentice life? My full recap will be up at 2am (UPDATE: Click here to read Dalton’s detailed Celebrity Apprentice recap), but in the meantime, if you’ve already watched the episode and can’t wait to sound off about who was fired, then read on below for more. [SPOILER ALERT: Read on only if you have already watched Sunday’s episode of Celebrity Apprentice.]
After calling John Rich either boy, cowboy, or kaboy, and ruminating endlessly on the joys of kite-flying, Gary Busey was finally fired by Donald Trump, putting an end to the non-stop hilarity of watching Trump come up with nonsensical excuses to keep the comically inept wannabe to the Celebrity Apprentice throne. The final nail in the Busey coffin was delivered during an
advertisement task for Omaha Steaks in which the teams had to do a cooking show for executives and random trapped people. Even though La Toya Jackson did her best to burn down the building while cooking for the very first time, the men lost, perhaps due to Project Manager Busey’s comments that after eating Omaha Steaks, “the digestion is clean. And therefore you are open.” (I’m not sure whether I’m more grossed out or just confused.) His firing immediately vaults La Toya into the pole position of Contestant That Has No Business Still Competing On a Show Having Anything To Do With Business Acumen.
My full recap will up soon, but in the meantime, let us know what you think. Are you sad Trump will no longer be forced to pretend that Busey is “brilliant?” Impressed at how Hope lied about being a meat eater? Skeezed out by the way Star Jones kept putting her hands right in front of the chef’s junk? Hit the message boards and let us know.
