Viral-video star Kevin Antoine Dodson, 24, was arrested April 23 in Huntsville, Ala., for speeding and marijuana possession, among other charges. Dodson protested the allegations on Twitter…. Lindsay Lohan, 24, was sentenced to 120 days in prison and 480 hours of community service (including time at the L.A. coroner’s office) on April 22 for violating her DUI probation by allegedly stealing a necklace worth $2,500 earlier this year — despite the jewelry-theft charges being reduced from a felony to a misdemeanor the same day. Lohan, who has denied wrongdoing, is out on bail while she appeals the jail sentence. The actress addressed her troubles on The Tonight Show on April 26, telling Jay Leno, ”I made a lot of poor decisions in the past, and I’m dealing with the consequences of those decisions.” She’s due in court on May 11…. Boardwalk Empire actress Paz de la Huerta, 26, was charged April 19 with multiple counts of misdemeanor assault for a March 20 incident involving The City cast member Samantha Swetra. De la Huerta’s lawyer said, ”We plan to tell our side of the story in the courtroom.”

Singer-songwriter Phoebe Snow, 60, died April 26 in Edison, N.J., of complications from a brain hemorrhage suffered in January 2010. She was best known for her 1975 hit ”Poetry Man.”… Bluegrass pioneer Hazel Dickens, 75, died April 22 in Washington, D.C., of complications from pneumonia…. Bassist Gerard Smith, 36, of the band TV on the Radio, died April 20, only a month after announcing he would be taking a break from playing in order to undergo treatment for lung cancer…. Actor Michael Sarrazin, who starred opposite Jane Fonda in 1969’s They Shoot Horses, Don’t They?, died April 17 of cancer in Montreal. He was 70…. X-Ray Spex punk singer-songwriter Poly Styrene (née Marianne Elliot), 53, died April 25 of cancer…. Sol Saks, creator of the long-running sitcom Bewitched, died April 16 at age 100.
