History renews Larry the Cable Guy -- EXCLUSIVE

Larry The Cable Guy

(History)

First we get Osama bin Laden, now Larry the Cable Guy’s TV show is being renewed. Is this a great day to be an American, or what?

Freshman series Only in America with Larry the Cable Guy will get a second season on History, sources say. The show has Larry crisscrossing the country seeking out the people, places and things that make this country unique. Only in America debuted in February, has averaged a hearty 2.6 million viewers per episode on Tuesday nights, boosting its time period by 86 percent.

At its upfront presentation, History also announced a new show: Full Metal Jousting, which re-creates full-contact medieval jousting tournaments, and announced renewals for fan favorites like Ax Men, Ice Road Truckers, IRT: Deadliest Roads, Swamp People and Top Gear.
