Combining road trips of fine food and drink with scenes of quasi-vérité table talk, The Trip seems like Sideways meets My Dinner with Andre, except with more head-to-head battles of Michael Caine impressions. Edited from a six-part BBC Two miniseries, comedians Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon (24 Hour Party People, A Cock and Bull Story) are best friends who drive each other nuts. When Coogan and his girlfriend win a fancy restaurant tour through Northern England, the gal pal bails, and Brydon takes her place. Throughout the trip, the two face off in spitting contests with dead-on impersonations of Dustin Hoffman, Woody Allen, Anthony Hopkins, and more. Watch the trailer below:
