Genre: Mystery and Thriller, Drama; Starring: Megan Fox, Mickey Rourke; Release Date Wide: 05/06/2011; Runtime (in minutes): 94; MPAA Rating: R; Distributor: Image Entertainment

This underworld fairy tale is so soggy and sentimental it’s like a new genre: Hallmark noir. Mickey Rourke has nothing to do but mope as Nate, a jazz trumpeter who rescues a sexy angel (Megan Fox) from a circus. She really is an angel — wings and all. And if that sounds a bit much, so is the whole movie, with its logy, inept pace and programmed melancholy. There’s one relief: Bill Murray plays an insecure gangster, and he’s at once crestfallen and threatening. Quick! Someone cast Murray as a major villain! (Also available on demand) C?
