It’s time to rev up those “2012 is the apocalypse” jokes again: Fast Five star Vin Diesel is getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, before the likes of, say, Bono, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Robert Redford. (We’re chalking Diesel’s inclusion up to his awesome break dancing skills… haven’t seen Bono do this, now have we?!)

But Diesel is just one of the stars in the very eclectic pack just chosen by The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce to be inducted to the Walk of Fame in 2012. Oscar-winner Kate Winslet will get her own star thanks to an impressive acting career, as will other Motion Picture inductees Scarlett Johansson, Malcolm McDowell, Sumner Redstone, and Pixar wiz John Lasseter.

Interestingly enough, Jennifer Aniston will also be given a star for her work in movies, but as any Friends fans might argue, the actress is, and always will be, Rachel Green.

Why not place her in the  Television category instead? (The 2012 stars in that section included Matt Groening, Valerie Bertinelli, Mariska Hargitay, Patricia Heaton, Marg Helgenberger, Walter Koenig, and Adam West.)

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce may not have been deterred by Aniston’s big-screen career, but they opted to place Jennifer Lopez in the Recording category, and rightfully so, alongside Pepe Aguilar, AMERICA, Boyz II Men, Hal David, David Foster, Vince Gill, and Ann and Nancy Wilson. Posthumous inductees for the 2012 ceremonies, which have no dates scheduled as of yet, are Richard Burton and Barry White.

So tell us, PopWatchers, which star are you most excited/surprised to see get inducted to the Hollywood Walk of Fame next year? Let us know in the comments section below.
