Lindsay Sloane explains how 'A Good Old Fashioned Orgy' can be sweet

In the tradition of flicks like Snakes on a Plane and Hot Tub Time Machine, the upcoming comedy A Good Old Fashioned Orgy will join the lineage of very literal movie titles.

As Horrible Bosses actress Lindsay Sloane explained to EW at the premiere of that film, in theaters July 8, “It is an ensemble piece about a group of friends who have been going to a summer cabin since they were little and now they are just about to be 30 and the place is being sold so they have one last summer outing there. They want to do something special to mark the event.”

That something special is – you guessed it – a good old fashioned orgy.

But Sloane, who admitted she initially had concerns about taking on a project with such a crude name (“I got the script and saw the title and immediately put it down,”) assured there’s even more than what the title implies.

“It is this very sweet movie about friends and loyalty and saying goodbye to your youth and innocence. And it’s about what happens if you throw an intimate sexual revolution with your friends and the feelings that come up when you get naked in front of people you never have been naked around but who know you so intimately in every other way,” she told EW about the Alex Gregory/Peter Huyuck-directed flick, which also features Lucy Punch, Martin Starr, Leslie Bibb, Lake Bell, and Sloane’s Horrible Bosses’ co-star Jason Sudeikis.

In fact, it’s Sudeikis, who Sloane compares to “an early career Tom Hanks,” who helped her feel comfortable. ”Sudeikis is so great in it,” she said of the Saturday Night Live funny-man. “He makes an orgy seem sweet.”

She even jokes that the film might catch on: “I think we are totally gonna start a craze, a fad between friends. As of Sept. 2, all the cool kids will be staging orgies with their friends.”
